Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment as a Barista at Department of Defence – Campbell Park (Canberra). Our baristas are coffee ambassadors, serving great tasting coffee with a smile on their face. We recognise our customers by their face and regular orders. It's more than just morning coffee, we want you, and our customer to feel at home in this space. This role is suited for candidates that like to work in a fast-paced supportive team environment.

The Position:
• Put your barista skills to work crafting consistently exceptional coffee, while creating a personalised experience by learning regulars’ orders by heart.
• Jump in across the café — from coffee service to light food prep - keeping service areas clean, organised, and buzzing.
• Calibrate and care for the coffee machine to ensure every cup meets the highest standard.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to the Defence community, making every interaction count.
• Follow company policies and food safety practices to keep standards high.

The Person:
• Proven barista experience in a high-volume, fast-paced café environment.
• Confident working independently and keeping service running smoothly.
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure, with great attention to detail.
• Friendly, professional presentation and a genuine passion for customer satisfaction.
• Positive team player who enjoys being part of a busy, community-focused café.
